We serve over 1000 clients annually. We speak with everyone who contacts us directly or is referred by another agency. We strive to avoid waiting lists. If we are unable to assist, we guide people to appropriate resources.
No, they are not. Since 1978, Jewish Social Services of Madison, Inc. has operated as a wholly autonomous agency with our own mission, directors, budget, employees and officers.
JSS is a partner agency in the United Way of Dane County and is a member of a number of local, state and federal organizations, including the Association of Jewish Family and Children's Agencies.
Jewish Federation of Madison provides much-needed financial support. Currently their support represents 14% of our annual budget. Over half of our funding comes from gifts from individuals like you. 15% is from the United Way of Dane County and 19% is from grants, foundations and investment income.
