Giving

The generosity of our donors makes it possible for Jewish Social Services to provide essential assistance to seniors, individuals & families under stress, and to immigrants & refugees. You can help ensure that JSS is there to help by supporting our efforts now and in the future.

Friends of JSS

Friends of JSS is our primary means of annual financial support. There's no formal membership, no minimum donation. Collectively, these contributions provide 45% of agency revenue each year.

IRA Charitable Rollover

The IRA Charitable and other critical giving incentives have been reinstated through 2011 as part of the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Authorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. Contributions for the 2010 tax year can be made retroactively through January 2011.

The IRA Rollover was first enacted in 2006 as part of the Pension Protection Act. The provision allows individuals aged 70 ½ and older to donate up to $100,000 from their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) to public charities without having to count the distribution as taxable income.

Jewish Social Services does not provide tax or legal advice and the information herein is not intended as legal, tax, or investment advice.

Tribute Gifts

There is no better way to honor, commemorate or recognize your family, friends or colleagues than with a donation to Jewish Social Services. Cards notifying the honoree are sent immediately. In addition, donor and recipient names are published in Connections, the JSS quarterly newsletter. Make a Tribute donation.
