We believe it's important to live life to the fullest at any age, with dignity, independence and friendship.

Our popular weekly Harry J. and Belle, parents of Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Lechayim Lunchtime Plus program is a testament "to life," with an affordable kosher meal, fitness activity and top-notch presentations and entertainment.

JSS staff and volunteers take Senior Shabbats to a number of retirement residences each month, featuring candle lighting, challah, music and Torah discussion .

Seniors, their families, JSS staff and volunteers gather together to celebrate the community-wide Senior Passover Seder, partaking of traditional fare and multilingual ceremony.

Holiday Outreach volunteers spread the spirit of Rosh Hashanah, Hanukkah and other Jewish holidays. Summer Outings take older adults on day trips, to luncheons and to places of interest. Programming for Russian Seniors includes social get together, English classes, citizenship preparation, holiday observances and affordable tickets  to cultural events of special interest.
