Our application process includes:
- Application: Tell us about yourself and what you hope to gain from this experience.
- Interview: Our chance to get to know you, your expectations, skills and interests, and your chance to learn about us and to see if JSS can provide the volunteer experience for which you're looking.
- Reference checks: Provide two references familiar with how you work (paid or volunteer), rather than personal friends or family members.
- Criminal background check.
We have two types of applications: the Regular Volunteer
Application, and the Short-term Project Application for those interested
only in short-term projects. Volunteers under age 18 should complete the
appropriate Youth Application.
The Short-Term Project Application should be used if you are only
interested in one or more of these projects:
- Senior Passover Seders
- Moving furniture & household items
- Have a vehicle to assist with moving furniture & household items
- Computer assistance
- Occasional errand
- Deliver Hanukkah menorahs or holiday gifts
Please choose the appropriate application:
